Exact rental, payment and handover conditions are confirmed as part of the booking.
Car rental conditions
Cars use a 21+ standard and normally expect 3+ years driving experience. Selected exceptions may be considered only after confirmation.
A valid category B driving licence, passport or national ID are required. For non-EU licences, an International Driving Permit is recommended alongside the national licence.
Motorcycle rental conditions
Motorcycles and scooters use a 21+ standard, with licence eligibility depending on the model.
For 125cc scooters, category A1 or B may be accepted where legally allowed. Rally and adventure motorcycles require A or A2 depending on the model. Confirm licence eligibility before booking.
Deposits & payments
Exact rental details — vehicle, dates, pickup, price, vehicle security deposit and any reservation deposit — are confirmed on WhatsApp before booking and at handover.
Insurance & responsibility
Basic casco insurance is included. It covers road-accident damage subject to rental conditions and the vehicle security deposit.
Optional full casco coverage may be requested for an additional fee.
Basic casco does not cover tyres, glass/windows, underbody, lost or damaged keys, irresponsible use, prohibited off-road misuse, fines, penalties or traffic violations.
Pickup / return
Main pickup point: Rr. Muhamet Deliu, 1062, Tirana. Airport, hotel or custom pickup can be requested and must be confirmed in advance on WhatsApp.
Pickups and returns can be arranged at any hour by prior agreement.
Fuel
Fuel is full-to-full or same-to-same depending on handover. The vehicle must be returned with the same fuel level received; a refuelling charge may apply if it is returned lower.
Cross-border use
Vehicles are intended for use inside Albania unless prior written approval is given by Rent Autokton.
Driver eligibility

Fines / misuse
Fines, penalties, traffic violations, irresponsible use and prohibited off-road misuse are not covered by basic casco insurance.
Cancellation / changes
Cancellations made at least 72 hours before the scheduled pickup can be cancelled free of charge.
For cancellations made less than 24 hours before pickup, any reservation deposit already paid may be retained, or a charge equivalent to at least one rental day may apply, depending on the confirmed booking terms.
