What do you need to rent a vehicle in Albania?

This page describes what we ask for at Rent Autokton. It is not legal advice, and rules outside our rental conditions can change — if something matters for your trip, check it with the relevant authority.

For cars

• Valid category B driving licence
• Passport or national ID
• Minimum age 21
• 3+ years driving experience normally expected
• Security deposit shown on the vehicle page

For motorcycles

The licence depends on the model: A for the Africa Twin and X-Cape 650, A2 for the CRF300L Rally and Voge 300 Rally, and category A1 or B may be accepted for the 125s where legally allowed. Passport or national ID and minimum age 21 apply as with cars.

What is included

• Basic casco insurance
• WhatsApp support

Basic casco is not full coverage. It does not cover tyres, glass/windows, underbody, keys, irresponsible use, prohibited off-road misuse, fines, penalties or traffic violations.

Good to know

• Pickup details agreed on WhatsApp
• Vehicles are intended for use inside Albania unless prior written approval is given by Rent Autokton
• Return the vehicle with the same fuel level as received
